Ceftazidime
Indications
Ceftazidime is primarily indicated in conditions like bacteremia, bacterial infections, biliary tract infections, bone and joint infections, diverticulitis, Ent infections, intra abdominal infections, lower respiratory tract infections, pophylaxis of acute renal transplant rejection, pseudomonal lung infection in cystic fibrosis, septicaemia, skin infections, soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, UTIs and less serious infections.
Contraindications
Ceftazidime is contraindicated in conditions like hypersensitivity.
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible side effects of ceftazidime are Skin rashes, vaginitis, nausea, vomiting, pain, phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, erythema multiforme.
Available as 250mg, 500mg, and 1000mg
