Indications
Cefotaxime is primarily indicated in conditions like arrhythmias after myocardial infarction, bacteremia, cellulitis, gonorrhoea, gynecological infections, infilteration anaesthesia, meningitis, obstetric infections, osteomyelitis, peritonitis, respiratory tract infections, surgical prophylaxis, urinary tract infections.
Contraindications
Cefotaxime is contraindicated in conditions like renal disease, hypersensitivity.
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible side effects of Cefotaxime are Nausea, vertigo, pruritus, diarrhea, fever, rashes, pain at injection site.
Available as 250mg 500mg and 1000mg
