Formulation
Glibenclamide + Metformin Hcl
Indications
Glibenclamide is primarily indicated in conditions like non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, softening and dilatation of cervix before mechanical cervical dilatation.
Metformin is primarily indicated in conditions like diabetes mellitus, hyperlipoproteinaemia, insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, insuline resistance, non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, obesity.
Contraindications
Glucovance is primarily contraindicated in conditions like alcohol dependence, anaemia, myocardial infarction, septicaemia, infections, respiratory disease, ketosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetic coma, trauma, liver damage, iron deficiency.
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible side effects of Glucovance are Flatulence, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, hypersensitivity, metallic taste, skin reactions , abdominal distension.
Available as 500/5mg 500/2.5mg and 250mg/1.25mg
