Iodine/ Methyl Salicylate
Indications
Iodex is primarily indicated in conditions like hyperthyroid crisis, hyperthyroidism, and can also be given in adjuctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in thyroidectomy.
Contraindications
Iodex is contraindicated in conditions like asthma, hyperkalaemia, acne vulgaris, thomsen`s disease.
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible side effects of iodex are skin rashes, enlargement of salivary gland.
