Rifaximin
Indications
Rifaximin is primarily indicated in conditions like diarrhoea caused by e coli, travelers diarrhoea, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in hepatic encephalopathy.
Contraindications
Rifaximin is contraindicated in conditions like hypersensitiviy to the drug.
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible side effects of rifaximin are blood in stools, shortness of breath, dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, edema.
Dose 200mg and 550mg
