Iron polymaltose complex + Folic acid
Indications
Iron Polymaltose complex is primarily indicated in conditions like Iron deficiency, iron deficiency anaemia, Macrocytic anaemia, and can also be given in adjucntive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in anoxic seizures, cough.
Folic Acid is primarily indicated in conditions like Anaemia, coeliac disease, for prophylaxis in chronic haemolytic states or in renal dialysis, vitamin deficiency.
Contraindications
Iron polymaltose complex is contraindicated in conditions like hemochromatosis, haemolytic anaemia, hemopglbinopathy, inflammatory bowel disease, blood transfusion, hypersensitivity to any component of product.
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible side effects of Ferfix FA are vomiting, drowsiness, metabolic acidosis, epigastric pain, diarrhea, joint and muscle pain.
