Erithromycin
Indications
Erithromycin is primarily indicated in conditions like Acne vulgaris, Alternative to pencillin in hypersensitive patients, bacterial infections, bone and joint infections, Breast cancer, bronchitis, endocarditits erithrasma eye infections, GI infections, Lower respiratory tract infections, Sexual transmitted infections, sinusitis, skin infections, soft tissue infections and can also be given as an alternative drug of choice in Diphtheria, early lyme disease.
Contraindicatioins
Erithromycin is contraindicated in conditions like hepatic dysfunction, hypersensitivity.
Dose 250 and 500mg tablets and 200mg/5ml syrup and drops
